In the novel Always Running by Luis J. Rodriguez, the narrorator begins by giving descrpitions of each of his family memebers. He also reveals that his family is always on the move. Connecting to the title of the book, he writes, "I, however would learn to hide in imaginative worlds." Hinting that he often uses his imagination in order to cope with outside problems around him. One of the problems being his inability to have a good relationship with his brother who often uses him as a punching bag. Despite the narrorator having a big family full of half sisters and brothers his immediate family always ends up living om the streets with little to no resourses. He also goes on talking about how he was a product of two very diffrent people whom for that reason are seperated .
"Fire woman and water man, molded me: these two created a life-long conflict in my breast," Maybe he somehow blames his parents diffrences for his problems when he's a grown up.
